I worked on this painting after reading about the Hindu spring festival of Holi. The festival celebrates the beginning of spring after the winter and represents the triumph of good over evil. One part of the festival involves the participants throwing coloured powders, water and sometimes balloons up into the air and over each other. This happens in the streets becoming a mass of colour, people and laughter.
Acrylic on canvas. The painting has been framed and is ready to hang on the wall.
